Kathleen Darby is an experienced arts and culture leader and consultant with a track record of success in cultural planning, program implementation, event management, fundraising, and board governance. With over 30 years of combined experience in the culture, education, and hospitality sectors across four provinces in Canada, Kathleen has held senior-level positions in several well respected organizations.As a passionate presenter and educator, Kathleen has a proven ability to engage and mentor cultural sector professionals at all levels. She has delivered keynote speeches, taught courses, facilitated workshops, and provided mentorship across the continuum of the culture sector.Throughout her career, Kathleen has held several senior positions with leading organizations such as the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, the Banff Centre for the Arts Theatre Division, and Creative Manitoba. Her leadership and vision have been instrumental in building and growing several organizations from the ground up, including the Costume Museum of Canada and the Winnipeg International Writers Festival.Currently, Kathleen serves as the Executive Director of the Creative City Network of Canada, a national network of municipal culture leaders committed to fostering community development and engagement in the arts and culture sector. Her leadership and expertise have been pivotal in driving the organization's success.Kathleen holds a BA in Theatre and Business Administration (Double Major), a Post-Graduate Certificate in Management from the University of Winnipeg and a certificate in Indigenous Cultural Awareness from the First Nations Technical Institute.
