Plan and manage user research program, including usability testing, log file transaction analysis and usage statistics evaluation for evidence-based decision making. Oversee reviews and improvements to major Library web services.Train and organize librarians and support staff in carrying out usability tests. Implement new software in support of user research, including Survey Monkey, WebTrends, and Morae. Work with appropriate University-wide groups to evaluate faculty and student needs in the digital era, including the creation and analysis of the 2006 Cyberinfrastructure Survey and the 2007 faculty focus groups. *Led openURL implementation (using SFX) for vendor-supplied databases and Google Scholar, thereby creating enhanced integrated access to electronic resources.*Created in-house staff training, customized to the level of staff, to support openURL implementation and RefWorks.*Chair the Public Interfaces Committee; the Library-wide committee charged with evaluating and making changes to the Library's Web site, Orbis, SFX and Metalib. *Analyzed new products and produced evaluative comparisons in support of collection development (specifically leading to the purchase of Scopus at Yale).
