-Serve as chief legal officer to a rapidly growing city in the Madison metropolitan area-Key member of the city’s executive leadership team-Advise the City Administrator, Mayor, Common Council, and city's executive leadership team on compliance with law, policies, and risk management best practices-Manage and direct all litigation involving the City-Serve on internal committees, including Economic Development Committee,Technical Review Committee, and Employee Engagement

-Head of City legal department, responsible for oversight and management of $365,000 departmental budget -Advise the Mayor, Common Council, City department heads, and Manitowoc Public Utilities on compliance with laws, City policies, and risk management best practices-Coordinate and manage all litigation involving the City-Select liability and property insurance carriers for the City, responsible for $270,000 insurance budget-Annually draft and review approximately 300 resolutions, ordinances, and policies for action by the Common Council -Serve as City’s chief labor negotiator with police, fire, and transit unions, successfully negotiating 10 CBAs-Partner with Community Development to develop incentive packages to attract and retain businesses, filling the City’s industrial park to capacity-Serve as member of the Mayor’s Leadership Council -Respond to public records requests in compliance with state law-Serve as City’s ADA Coordinator-Member of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility Committee

Serve as sole legal counsel to the City of Manitowoc. Responsible for all job duties of City Attorney and Assistant City Attorney.

Represent the City in Municipal Court at pretrial conferences, motion hearings, and trials. Draft resolutions and ordinances and updates to Municipal Code due to law changes or upon request of elected official or departments.

Teach Civil Litigation I & II to approximately 20 paralegal students each year. Help students prepare for an annual mock trial. Educate students on trial preparation from the summons through an appeal.

Represented indigent clients in criminal matters in Carver and Scott Counties under the student practice rules.

Assisted professor with appellate practice, prepared course materials.

Represented the State of Wisconsin in criminal traffic matters under student traffic rules, assisted attorneys with trial preparation.
