Co-owned and managed three retail locations of The Body Shop over a time period of 20 years.

Three Stores Built startup franchise in three locations (Prudential Center, Downtown Crossing, and Faneuil Hall) from ground up, successfully introducing retail company to Boston market. Managed full P&L responsibility, store operations, inventory, and staff recruitment, performance, and evaluation.* Forecast sales, and ordered products to match routine, holiday, and seasonal needs. Managed accounting, deposits, and bill payment, and enforced loss prevention procedures.* Interviewed, hired, and trained staff of 24-30 for all stores, including Assistant Managers at each. Managed two stores on site, and collaborated with partnership on overall direction of franchise.* Maintained compliance with franchise branding, merchandising, and policy requirements, including employee community service, in-store specials, fundraisers, and other corporate campaigns.* Oversaw four large-scale renovation projects of approx. $400K each, including three startups. Hired contractors and managed budgets. Temporarily relocated one store and sustained business traffic.* Achieved top 10 ranking out of 400 Body Shop locations for Prudential Center store. Negotiated sale and return of all three franchise operations back to corporate control.
