My responsibilities as a Research Assistant include qualitative and quantitative data transcription, analysis, and compilation to formulate presentations, inform future research and grant opportunities, and coauthor papers regarding student growth/fixed mindset, perceptions of efficacy, experiential learning, and grit.- Transcribed over 1,230 packets of data from a sample size of 418 students at Cal Poly.- Presented research at the 2015 CSU Teaching Symposium at Cal State, LA. My role as an Intern for the Department of Women's and Gender Studies at Cal Poly includes designing and implementing alumni programs, refining the internship program curriculum, and discovering grant and corporate funding opportunities that will allow for cross-campus collaboration with students in the Women's and Gender Studies minor.- Created alumni portfolios by data mining to aid in creating recommendations for an alumni advisory board and programs.- Fostered relationships with corporations and nonprofit organizations in order to understand potential internship opportunities for future students.

My role as a Student Assistant for Cal Poly's sexual violence education and resource center, Safer, included project management, event design and implementation, community outreach, marketing, sexual assault crisis counseling, fundraising, donation coordinator, gaining familiarity with policies surrounding sexual assault, program and presentation development, and representing our programs on a local, state, and national level.-Single-handedly coordinated a 5K run that had over 200 participants and 30 volunteers.-Spearheaded a week-long event titled, 'Week of Wellness', that encouraged students and San Luis Obispo community members to stay healthy through activities involving healthy eating, yoga & meditation, and a resource fair.-Served as a crisis counselor to students.-Gave presentations and workshops about violence, sexual assault, consent, and bystander intervention to groups as small as 3 and as large as 900.-Worked with campus administrators, Chief of Police, student groups, staff, and faculty to reevaluate and update sexual assault policies and processes.

My role as a Research Assistant for Anthropology professor, Dr. Dawn Neill, included grant writing, extensive research regarding student's perception of self-efficacy and intrinsic motivation, learning how to conduct Nutritional Anthropology field research in a small village in the mountains of Viti Levu, Fiji, and write ethnography.

My role as the HR Diversity & Solutions Group Intern included project management, event design and implementation, global networking, organization, efficiency, gaining familiarity with the tools ADP and VirtualEdge, program development, and presentation development.-Wrote newsletter that was sent out to over 1,000 employees.-Supported global diversity initiatives by coordinating meetings, answering questions, and planning a variety of events that were attended by over 100 employees.-Designed and implemented a strategy to engage members of Brocade's flagship diversity program, Women In Networking (WIN) worldwide.-Worked on a team to ensure I-9 compliance within VirtualEdge and ADP.-Processed both new hire paperwork as well as termination papers.-Assisted a week-long technical summer camp program for students aged 13-15. -Supported our Veterans Employee Resource Group by attending a Hire America's Heroes Symposium at Alameda Island, California.-Supported Brocade Recruiters by compiling a list of diversity initiatives throughout Universities and the world.-Created a series of blog articles about cultural celebrations throughout the year that contained over 200 hyperlinks to more resources.

My role as a Student Assistant for Cal Poly's Gender Equity Center included project management, event design and implementation, community outreach, fundraising, management of Women’s Leadership Council projects, program and presentation development.-Increased membership of the Women's Leadership Council from one dedicated member to over 20.-Assisted with the logistics of Cal Poly, SLO's production of the Vagina Monologues.-Designed and implemented an unprecedented wellness event.-Presented at the 2012 Change the Status Quo Conference.

My role as a SOAR Leader with Cal Poly's Orientation Programs demonstrated my leadership abilities, organization, enthusiasm, and drive for networking.-Led multiple groups of 20-30 incoming Cal Poly freshmen in 2-day long sessions around the campus to gain familiarity with Cal Poly's programs and resources, as well as the charm of San Luis Obispo's downtown area.-Gave presentations to groups of 30-40 student's supporters about what to expect when their student goes to school, answered questions about college life, university housing, and resources offered.-Was asked to be on a panel of five students who presented on our experiences to 300.
