Outreach • Acting as an effective ambassador and advocate for UK National Parks to external bodies – including funding agencies, key stakeholders, potential & existing commercial partners & the public;• Developing and implementing an effective communications strategy ensuring National Parks UK continues to increase its public profile;Representation and Communication (Internal)• Further developing and maintaining strong links with the wider family of protected landscape areas to share experience and co-ordinate activities - including National Parks England, National Parks Wales, officers of the 15 NPAs, Society of National Park Staff, Campaign for National Parks, National Association of AONBs, Europarc Atlantic Isles and others.• Liaising with the lead NPO and Chairman on a regular basis to monitor the effective delivery of the agreed UK National Parks Work Plan.Strategic Development • Identifying and developing positive and productive strategic and operational Partnerships/ relationships with key public and private sector partners which add value to the BBS Brand, support the delivery of the Work Plan and maximise opportunities to effectively raise the profile of the UK National Parks Family.• Fostering a culture which values partnership, collaboration, innovation and effectiveness to ensure National Parks UK achieves as much as possible within its increasingly limited resources. • Engaging with other potential new National Parks as directed by the Lead NPO and/or Executive board. Resource and Operational Management • Ensuring National Parks UK staff / consultants / secondees are motivated, supported and managed effectively through recruitment, development and retention processes• Ensuring National Parks UK’s finances are well managed, maximising the value of NPA subscriptions, sustaining agency funding, minimising costs where appropriate and proactively seeking
