Outreach And Education InternCornell Lab Of Ornithology Oct 2017 - Dec 2018- Overhauled Visitor Center “Exploration Stations” by streamlining content, updating visitor guides and handouts to better promote critical lab programs and initiatives, and incorporate more adult- and family-friendly learning activities.- Trained and managed new volunteers, guiding them on proper Visitor Center (VC) protocol, visitor engagement etiquette, and appropriate facilitation of Exploration Stations to ensure more enjoyable visitor experiences and support of the Lab by guests. - Designed, implemented and demonstrated a new Exploration Station, “Bird Beak Adaptations”, which was selected to represent the Lab during Cornell’s CALS Day Celebration, and later adapted into VC “Activity Boxes” due to its immense popularity with lab visitors.- Updated, identified and cataloged ornithological specimens for the Lab’s “Teaching Collection”, used in the Exploration Stations, group visits, building tours, and academic field trips.
