• Support all HR strategic and transactional functions for the Austin Business Unit in a dairy products manufacturing and distribution environment comprised of 1 production facility, and 6 distribution branches located throughout South-Central Texas, serving over 250 non-union employees. • Direct responsibility for many aspects of the Human Resource function, including benefits administration, performance management, employee relations, policy and procedure implementation, leave program administration (STD/LTD/WRI/FMLA), HRIS, incentive programs, recruitment and retention, EEO/AAP, training and development, relocation programs, and complaint investigations and resolution.• Interpret and apply Human Resources policies, procedures, and programs, ensuring consistent application.• Administer disability and FMLA programs with a focus on effective management with respect to cost, compliance, and employee relations.• Coordinate all recruitment and onboarding efforts, ensuring the recruitment of highly qualified talent capable of supporting the short and long term needs of the business.• Provide support to managers on staffing decisions, legal issues regarding hiring practices, and development of position selection criteria.• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.• Key participant in Business Unit Transformation projects including service delivery model, HRIS systems, and process design, build, and implementation.• Partner with all functional departments to ensure meeting business unit and company safety, service, cost, and people goals.• Consistently utilized as a trainer for new hires within the HR organization (managers and generalists) nationally.• Considered “expert” in company policy, best practices, and HR deliverables.• Championed process improvement in the Austin Business Unit on developing and implementing effective recruiting model for talent acquisition and talent retention.
