-Manage complex projects over a portfolio of sites, responsible for multiple projects/teams-Develop large funding bids (from Defra and National Highways etc) to secure external funding for the project -Procure goods/services in accordance with Trust policy. Oversee that CDM is adhered to, and roles and responsibilities are assigned-Develop engagement activities to foster buy-in and long-term support for green initiatives -Develop relationships with external partners (EA, United Utilities and Natural England etc) to ensure funding, buy-in and permissions are secured -Adopt/implement project processes throughout the project lifecycle(Bollin Riverlands) Work with multiple sites/partners to deliver projects that sequester carbon, improve water quality and create more resilient landscapes with more joined up, habitats. Currently in feasibility, to date it has delivered:-Pond mapping – report showing where ponds have been lost and could be restored (ghost ponds), where current ponds need restoration, and locations for new pond opportunities. -Culvert and watercourse mapping – surveying over 17km of watercourses within the Bollin catchment to highlight areas where restoration can take place. Works to include reconnection with floodplains, woody or leaky dam construction, riparian buffering and/or planting and online/offline storage creation-Peatland/Moorland Restoration – undertaking veg and peat surveys to develop restoration plans for peat/moorland sites-Whole reach approach – undertaking feasibility studies to develop a whole reach approach to river restoration on sections of the Bollin to create a mosaic of habitat including woodland, hedgerow, pond, wetland, floodplain meadow and grassland habitats. Develop designs that work with farming practices(Green Recovery Challenge Fund) Planted 20,000 trees, 4km of hedgerows planted, 40ha of native grassland created, two wetlands created, 29 ponds, 4km of paths created or improved, 166 leaky dams created.

• Manage multiple, complex projects at any given time and be responsible for developing sound client/Project Manager relationships in a remote working environment.• Develop funding bids and hold relationships with funders such as DCMS, NHS England, Public Health England and the National Lottery Community Fund. Undertake all monitoring and reporting.• Work with NAVCA members to promote and support the work of volunteers, especially during the response to the pandemic, but also with other health and environmental initiatives. Champion local initiatives and the power of the volunteer.• Re-baseline projects due to changing prioritise which have come about through COVID. Projects won before the pandemic, unfortunately cannot be delivered in the original format. Therefore formally implement change control and gain buy-in from funders and colleagues.• Set up formal project processes for an expanding, project-driven organisation, such as Risk Registers, standardised team meetings and templates for briefs and business cases.

• Manage a large project based at Dunham Massey looking at spatial planning for the estate.• Engage and consult with stakeholders and local communities on what they need and want from green spaces and bring this into the project scope when possible. • Appoint landscape architects to help internal teams visualise possible future concepts for green spaces, which include nature gains, nature friendly farming and visitor infrastructure. • Control all elements of the project life cycle and scope. • Undertake all project admin tasks including budget management, documentation and governance.• Engage with external projects such as HS2 and the Greater Manchester Spatial Framework to ensure buy-in and synergy of ideas for the betterment of the green spaces around Dunham Massey.

• Supported project planning meetings to identify the required resources for projects.• Supported and trained consultancy and operational staff in all aspects of the internal Project Management Framework (based on AMP principles).• Created documentation for major projects to establish and track that the correct personnel were on workstreams, project teams and project boards.• Supported a major project at Lyme Park by providing general project admin support as well as undertaking specific project tasks as required.• Assisted the regional governance board with overseeing all large and medium projects (c. up to 70 at any one time) and present and report on these each month. • Worked with project managers to forward plan when projects will require ‘gate’ sign off. • Supported, organised and planned team meetings and project management community days. Liaised with internal properties and external organisations to ensure we have venues, speakers and relevant agenda items.• Helped drive improvements in ways of working for projects, with the central teams.• Conducted reviews on projects with project teams and helped facilitate discussions to extract key learnings for future projects.

• Project managed multiple research projects at any given time. Managed all aspects of internal and external projects and held responsibility for all phases of the project lifecycle including briefs and proposals, client and internal kick off meetings, and reporting.• Conducted insight workshops with key groups clients wish to engage with and learn from. Created the session plans for these qualitative approaches and designed surveys for the quantitate data. • Worked with external clients from a range of heritage organisations such as Historic Royal Palaces, Everyman Theatre, Henry Moore Institute and the Newcastle Gateshead Cultural Venues (NGCV).• Wrote research reports, produced and delivered presentations on the findings to the external clients.• Managed a NESTA-funded Digital R&D Fund for Arts project involving nine cultural partners in Newcastle and Gateshead and a digital agency (technical partner). Liaised with these external partners and the funder to ensure project milestones were met and project outcomes achieved on time and within budget. Represented the project when attending meetings with the funder and partners.

• Coordinated a national educational project with participating schools to develop sustainable learning programmes based on their local heritage.• Commissioned specific pieces of work from external consultants including the Historic Association, University of Oxford, historians and other educational consultants.• Supported the review of the overall programme with external consultants QA Research.
