  • Complete Chiropractic Health
    Chiropractic Assistant In Rehabilitation
Complete Chiropractic Health Aug 2020 - Dec 2020
    United States
I ran the rehabilitation center at Complete Chiropractic Health. I worked with stim machines, rollers, laser treatment for inflammation, and decompression machines. I taught exercises to patients based on their needs: cervical, thoracic, lumbar, shoulders, hips, and knees. I also would put kinesiology tape on patients. I adapted the exercises to the individual's needs. I utilized my background in dance to relate to and help the patients in need. I did not personally diagnose the patients needs, but I worked closely with the chiropractors to determine what was best for the patient. I also created a rehabilitation center guide for the company and trained various staff members how to run the machines in the center. I am passionate on helping people move whether it's a dance move or to be able to go up the stairs!
  • Kelsey'S Dance And Fitness
    Dance Teacher
    Kelsey'S Dance And Fitness Sep 2019 - Jul 2020
    Greater Pittsburgh Area
I was an assistant teacher in the beginning of the academic year with the intentions of taking over the owner's classes due to her maternity leave. When the pandemic hit, I still took over her classes and taught numerous Zoom classes. I did these classes to help keep the students engaged and to have fun during these tough times. I helped backstage for the studio's annual Christmas show and got the children ready to perform. I mainly taught 7-9 year olds with the exception of one pre-school class and a couple teen classes. Genres I taught are hip hop, tap, jazz, musical theater, intro to dance (preschool), tumbling, contemporary, and conditioning/stretching. I have academic year length plans from a few of these classes typed out and can easily be changed to suit the needs of the students.
  • Slippery Rock University Of Pennsylvania
    Dancer
Slippery Rock University Of Pennsylvania Aug 2016 - May 2020
I have been dancing since I was five years old. Throughout my elementary and high school years, I competed and participated in competitions and conventions. When I was 16, I received a scholarship to dance with Al Blackstone and Billy Griffin at Dancer Palooza. At this event, I was in my first professional musical theater show. Today, I am now a senior dance major. I've been in multiple concerts and choreographed a few times throughout my collegiate years. I have learned variations of teaching methods, postural correcting, Laban Movement Analysis, and multiple choreographic tools.
  • Slippery Rock University Of Pennsylvania
    Stage Manager
Slippery Rock University Of Pennsylvania Nov 2019 - Feb 2020
I stage managed two shows for the Slippery Rock Dance Department. For both shows, I instructed the crew and updated all dancers with important information. During the tech and shows, I called lighting cues, sound cues, when dancers could come on stage, and communicated to my assistant stage manager. I took notes and adapted to mistakes. The shows turned out magnificent and I developed a passion for stage managing.

    Production Intern
Attack Theatre, Inc. Oct 2019 - Dec 2019
    Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States
I recorded and exported rehearsal and performance footage to keep track of choreography and music throughout numerous rehearsals for the "Kitchen Sink", their 25th-anniversary show. The most important events during my internship were the Get Down event and The Kitchen Sink. For the Get Down event, I got to clean the floors, set up lights, and set up props. While the lights were being designed, I got a say on the color palette of the artwork and designed the lighting outside the artwork. I also recorded their performance. For the Kitchen Sink, I was stage crew for the tech week and shows. I would get the performing artists ready to go backstage and had constant communication with the stage manager. I also moved curtains and props before, during intermission, and after the show. After all the shows were over, we striked the venue and cleaned up. I didn't record this show but exported the footage from the person that did record it.
