I completed my master's in psychology with clinical emphasis that included a semester internship working in a behavioral center for children, ages 3 to 16. I also completed a 5 year doctoral program in clinical psychology that offered additional practicum experience working with rural populations. Practicum experiences included work in a short-term inpatient facility with adult and geriatric patients, working as an outpatient therapist at a cancer center with adult patients, and as an outpatient therapist in a community mental health clinic working with children, adolescents, and adult clients. I completed a one year internship and a one year fellowship working with Veterans at Veteran Health Administration facilities. I also worked as the primary mental health provider at an outpatient mental health clinic for a VA facility for 5 years. My last employment was for 6 months as an outpatient mental health provider for another VA, until having twins. I currently a stay at home mom seeking new employment. I have provider status with cognitive processing therapy and my focus is on providing evidence based treatment whenever possible.
