I’m passionate about making the voting process secure and accessible to anyone who wants to participate! To achieve this goal, I currently serve as the Community Services Manager in the Clerk & Recorder’s Office at Arapahoe County where I oversee the team that handles community outreach, election judge hiring & training, ballot envelope design, and election watchers.Prior to this role, I worked at the Ottawa County Clerk/Register of Deeds where I had many roles related to elections. I started in the office as the Elections Intern right before the November 2016 Presidential Election. In 2018, I was promoted to Clerk/Register Specialist. I performed a variety of administrative assistant duties for the County Clerk, assisted our previous Elections Coordinator in administering elections, led our veterans benefit program, and managed the office’s external communication platforms. Before I left Ottawa County, I was the Elections Coordinator. I oversaw elections in partnership with 23 city and township clerks, managed the elections division budget, and assisted candidates and voters. I’m a 2018 alumna from Grand Valley State University with a B.A. in International Relations and minors in Business and Spanish. While at Grand Valley, I was in the Habitat for Humanity club and studied abroad in Europe. I am also a 2021 alumna from DePaul University where I received my Masters in Public Administration with a specialization in International Public Management.Aside from my work and education, I was on Grand Valley’s Young Alumni Council and loved having the opportunity to share my pride of being a Laker for a Lifetime. The council put into words what it does best: “The YAC works to engage other young alumni in West Michigan... by providing opportunities to stay informed, get involved, give back, and share their Laker Pride.”On a personal level, I enjoy traveling, paddle boarding, hiking, legos, and I’m a huge movie buff. I always look forward to new challenges and believe you need a little bit of humor to get through life!
