Appointee to State of Colorado nursing facility board that was created by the Colorado Legislature under Governor John Hickenlooper. The Board reviews and awards grants to entities for improvement of quality of care and life of nursing facility residents. The awarded amounts are $250,000 or below and have to be completed within a three-year cycle.

Develop new and innovative long term care models for Medicaid recipients in the State of Colorado. Specialize in creating models to address the needs of an aging population. Work closely with the federal government in designing new Medicaid programs. Subject matter expert for long term care and nursing facilities for the State of Colorado. Lead policy analyst for the Colorado Medicaid long term health care system. Work to improve the quality of care and life in facility-based treatment models. Develop and design new health care service delivery models, including person-centered and aging in place care models.

Tracked legislation related to child welfare in all fifty states including the U.S. territories. Provided technical assistance to legislators on child welfare legislation and answered inquires submitted by state legislators regarding state laws.

Lead on Intense Case Management team for persons with chronic mental illnesses. Provided assistance to team members on job responsibilities and decision making.

Lead adult protection case worker for the County. Served as court-appointed guardian for clients deemed incompetent by the state court system. Was assigned Social Security payeeships to handle budgeting of clients who lacked capacity. Served on the Developmental Disability Human Rights Committee for the County. Court expert for clients who lacked capacity.

Administrator and supervisor of an assisted living center for persons with chronic mental illnesses. Supervised six staff members and oversaw two assisted living centers. Administered budget for both households and oversaw the maintenance of both facilities.
