I am interested in assisting needy individuals in the area of health, food and other public assistance benefits, as well as to secure employment by helping to remove barriers to their employment. As a senior citizen presently looking for a job, I can empathize with the plight of these individuals and their family members. I am familiar with the various types of assistance available to those in need as I served clients in a Virginia Commonwealth University graduate social work internship 2008-2009 at Richmond Behavioral Health Authority. I received a great deal of excellent help from medical and dental facilities, such as Daily Planet, for these clients. A number of years ago I was a social worker for foster homes in Philadelphia, PA and utilized these types of resources in this position.I am also very interested in working with the elderly population in helping adjustment to their various situations, providing counseling and support - assisted living, nursing home, homeless situations, and hospice at end-of-life situations. I actively volunteer in all these situations.kaclak@aol.com
