I worked at Information Today, Inc. full time for 14 years. I began by editing books and the Marketing Library Services (MLS) newsletter. After about a year, I gave up the books and began editing Computers in Libraries (CIL) magazine, working my way up to Editor in Chief. Then at the end of 2007, I resigned from CIL. I was still in charge of MLS the entire time. I continue to edit and produce MLS as a part-time contractor for Info Today.

I became Chair of the Newsletter Editorial Board in spring 2010, and transitioned the publication from print to electronic. To save money, we stopped using a professional graphic artist and I began laying out the issues in MS Publisher. While Chair, I convened meetings, worked with authors and advertisers, wrote workflow processes, and reported progress to NJLA. I resigned the Editorship effective July 1, 2013, but remained a working member of the Editorial Board through 2016. I'm still a member of NJLA.

Copy-editing, fact-checking, and proof-reading for Streaming Media magazine's US and EU editions. I also created a comprehensive Style Guide and wrote up workflow processes. Streaming Media covers the business & technology of online video.

Leading a team of passionate volunteers to create a new conference to fill a gap in librarians' continuing education. Coordinating all the work between this Planning Committee and the partner organization that's handling the registration and hotel arrangements, Amigos Library Services. I represented Shanachie Media and its show This Week In Libraries, which was the first global library internet TV show. I handled marketing, brand awareness, and sales across North America. On TWIL, the Shanachies interviewed library thought leaders and discussed the future. Episodes formerly resided at www.ThisWeekInLibraries.com. The founders, Erik Boekesteijn and Jaap van de Geer, have since moved on to other ventures.

As a freelancer, I was a US correspondent who covered news about (mostly) US-based information industry vendors. I wrote numerous news articles and company profiles.
