Currently an Assistant Preschool Teacher, I am exploring a new career path, since I have always had a love and passion for children. I have been working with children between the age of 1 to 15 years old, for 10+ years. I started off as a Sunday School Teacher, then moved onto babysitting and tutoring in private residences. I was also a one on one aide for children with autism, teaching communication and social skills. Since being in New York, I have provided child care services to different families and within those roles, engaged children in arts and craft projects, read stories, played educational games, went on walks to the park, museums, play dates, and other activities. The past several years I have been an Assistant Preschool Teacher for 2-3 year olds, as well as Pre-K. I also work for several babysitting agencies, providing care for families in private residences, hotels, events, such as basketball games for the Brooklyn Nets. In my previous career in Public Relations, I have worked in the food & beverage, fashion, entertainment, pharmaceutical, as well as technology industries.Most recently, I was a Media Relations Associate. I managed external media relations and pitching; monitored and kept abreast of media placement & editorial calendar opportunities; developed trade / general media lists and conducted research projects. As a side project, I was the PR Specialist for FlatParty, Inc (a social media networking site) and traveled to New Delhi with the CEO to formally introduce and present the FlatParty.com site at the official public launch. I also interacted with local media, representing the company positively. I was also the PR Director for Couture Fashion Week, where I directed pre-event promotional event outreach and managed fashion week events.
