I am currently living in Spanish Ft, AL and involved in my painting hobby/business. I moved from living on the Gulf, Panama City Beach, FL (by the sea), to close to the Gulf and Bay in Spanish Ft, AL. I have taken various classes in painting-all mediums, drawing, and workshops. I really enjoy painting, especially watercolors. During my "professional career" I have I enjoyed my studies in Education at UAB, I was an active member of the Educational Honor Society, Kappa Delta Pi. Because I switched fields from Secondary Education to Early Childhood Education, my program was more extensive than the regular one. I took courses and workshops from many outstanding professors in the field of education.

When I retired from teaching in 2001, I began painting more with friends, in art classes, and in my art studio. I love to paint seascapes, especially scenes of the Gulf Coastal area, landscapes, children, interesting people,and places. My business/hobby, Kathy Wallis Art by the Sea, was started around 2004, when I began marketing my paintings, Giclee prints and various other art products. Most of my paintings are done in watercolors, but other mediums are also used.
