I’m Katie - a health information translator (official title: medical writer) with a soft spot for patient engagement and patient centricity. I create materials for disease awareness, clinical trials, and to support already approved drugs and treatments. I write for patients, healthcare professionals, caregivers, and anyone whose life has been touched by illness. Health information can be scary, confusing, and unreachable. I like to help make it a lot less so.I have worked in healthcare for over seven years now. In this time I have been involved in various roles and settings including working directly with patients in their homes, collaborating with doctors and nurses in a diabetes department and cancer research hospital, and writing at healthcare communications agencies. These experiences have given me a unique perspective on healthcare communication.
