Wrote over 70 articles featuring student, faculty and alumni achievements, several of which were promoted on MSU’s social channels and republished on the university’s website. Developed social media promotions and campaigns to distribute through Sprout Social. Covered events and assisted with strategic branding, including co-authoring college’s manifesto and developing ambient marketing within the building. Managed the college-wide story database.

Met weekly with editorial staff to screen submissions (roughly 1,000 annually) for the internationally- circulated, award-winning literary journal. Implemented journal’s content strategy through management of the Wordpress site. Promoted the journal at the annual conference of the AWP (15,000 attendees from all aspects of creative writing including publishers, editors and writers).

Oversaw the publication process of the literary magazine through manuscript screening, editing, final InDesign layout and printing for two consecutive issues. Managed author communication between 15+ editors and 40+ authors through Submittable. Planned launch party events for release of final issues. Led editorial discussions on editing ethics and best practices in publishing. Facilitated the distribution of purchase orders.

Europe

Traveled across Germany and Spain for a five-week study abroad program on visual communication and creativity. Studied, explored and created multimedia content about Spain (and all its glorious art and architecture) and Berlin (and it's graffitied, war-torn remains). Oversaw 12 other students in the production of the final project: a 24-hour travel blog post.
