Using Pro Arc as a Superuser to archive, store and create document profiles, my day was varied and interesting and I furthered my interest in filing systems in this role. Responsibilities also included creating/sending transmittals, arranging for archived files to go back to Vendors as well as out to storage and also recalling boxed files for reference. I built up a good working relationship with the reprographics company and was responsible for arranging off site printing and workpack creation. Keeping close contact with rigs and vendors in order to establish workable procedures to ensure smooth flow of documents and clear communication. Creating workflows, Inter Disciplinary Checks, allocating document numbers and ensuring that databases are kept updated. Entering CTRs and SORs into Pro Arc. Use of the Shell Livelink system to upload drawings, transmittals and documents has given me added and valuable experience of another document management system.I was acting Lead in the absence of a permanent Lead DC for the company. This was an excellent opportunity to expand my knowledge of Engineering Document Control and to strengthen my Oil and Gas Document Control skills. I spent this time reviewing the DCC system within the office here and created desk aides, made changes to the filing system and built up strong relationships with DCCs in other companies, both Operators and Support/Supply/Service.Due to the downturn in Oil and Gas in the North Sea I was made redundant in January 2015 -

As a team we completed and shipped 5 surface Xmas Tree MRBs in time for the year end which required team work and use of personal initiative. -
