As the HR Officer for Learning and Development, I oversee the L&D opportunities within LUU for our staff. I manage our learning management system, create learning content for classroom and online training, liaise with external providers on training that can support staff in their roles, identify opportunities for development.Within my role, I have created and delivered training on allyship in the workplace, student engagement support, and management development.I am also a co-leader for the Staff Women's Network- in which I have worked alongside the other co-leader to communicate updates to members, organise activities/workshops/events, hold member meetings, and provide a safe space for members. Through this, I have become the Network Support for all the Staff Networks, in which I work with the Network leaders to ensure that they feel supported within their role and assist with anything they have wanted to do with their Networks.

As the Learning and Development Coordinator, I primarily worked on the Kickstart Scheme that was implemented in LUU. Within this, I created what the Kickstart Scheme would entail, creating a learning and development programme that looked at how to develop common workplace skills, and next steps after the Kickstart role. I worked with managers to recruit, onboard and support the Kickstart staff throughout their time with us at LUU. I worked with DWP and Jobcentre to make the roles live, discuss the roles to interested candidates, and update them on the recruitment progress.Alongside this, I assisted in the management of our Learning Management System- adding new staff, updating courses, pulling reports and reviewing new courses.
