With almost ten years of experience as a bartender, it was a joy to find myself at a brewery as I wrapped up my last year of school. This job provided me the opportunity to speak about the complexities of craft beer in one of the most well-known craft beer locations-- Fort Collins, Colorado.Beyond my interest in the quality beer served at Snowbank, I provided a welcoming space for customers of all walks of life. Working in the service industry has equipped me with strong social skills as well as experience with responsible service of alcohol and bar management.

As a TA for an Indigenous Studies class, I worked closely with the professor to ensure a well organized and effective learning environment for undergraduate students. I helped students better understand the structural nature of settler colonialism and systemic erasure in an Indigenous Studies context.

As a flyfishing guide, I worked to take both new and experienced anglers out on the beautiful rivers of Idaho in search of trout. There is nothing that compares to the joy in someone's face when they catch their first fish!This job required knowledge of river systems, fish runs, insect behavior, and public land access. I enjoyed teaching about flyfishing as an activity as well as the importance of environmental conservation. Furthermore, my experience as an EMT and lifeguard helped to maintain safety for my clients on the water.
