Previously Katie served as JPI’s Senior Vice President & Construction Partner leading Construction and Preconstruction efforts for JPI’s Central Region with an annual volume in excess of $1B under construction. Before joining JPI, Katie Willis spent 6 years leading the Preconstruction Department and Non-Regional Construction Efforts for Howard Hughes. At Howard Hughes Katie was responsible for over $5B annual budget of projects in Preconstruction and $800M in construction. Starting with her degree in Civil Engineering from Georgia Tech, through her early experience as an Assistant Superintendent and Project Manager for an ENR Top 5 construction firm, to her experience leading the Preconstruction Department of a multi-office southeast regional general contractor, Katie has hands-on experience with the entire process of construction. She employs her experience to ensure the optimum balance between risk mitigation, cost, design, and program is achieved. Ms. Willis is a certified Six Sigma Instructor and maintains a Land Surveyors License. Katie’s team members describe her as “fearless”. She is willing to take on any challenge and is fiercely committed to the continuous improvement and development of those around her.
