My name is Katie Wiley, and I am a current senior at UF majoring in accounting. Originally from Wildwood, FL, I am proud to be a gator since UF is a top-five public university that houses the long-established Fisher School of Accounting. While I would describe myself as motivated, practical, and adaptable, others would describe me as truthful, fearless, and easygoing. Professionally, I am driven by success and stability. Moreover, my desire to solve analytical problems has led me to persue a masters in accounting at the University of Florida and become a CPA (with a focus on taxation) in the future. I am best at analytical thinking and problem-solving. I thrive in difficult situations by identifying what is occurring and understanding why rather than losing hope. In the future, as a CPA I would want to work with clients to record, analyze, and examine accounting records for tax preparation purposes. At my core, I am both a teacher and a learner, and being a CPA satisfies both because I can challenge myself by staying informed with tax law while also educating my clients on it. As a current senior, I would love to broaden my academic and professional networks. My email is always open to any opportunities, whether it be internships, jobs, or even clubs.
