The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre is a community based, not-for-profit organisation offering a range of free and confidential trauma-informed sexual assault and family violence services across the Barwon, Wimmera South West and Western Melbourne areas of Victoria. As the Executive Manager, Strategy and Impact, I was responsible for:* leading the organisation's strategy and business planning activities, including development, implementation and monitoring activities.* providing leadership and guidance to the following teams: Evidence and Strategic Advocacy, Communications and Community Engagement, Training, Primary Prevention, and Quality and Compliance. * leading the development of key strategic priority projects, including the Wimmera Strategic Action Plan, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Outcomes Framework, Primary Prevention Strategy and Action Plan.* overseeing the establishment and implementation of key reform projects and new initiatives across The SAFV Centre, including the Orange Door and Victims Assistance Program. * leading the establishment of online and virtual service delivery models across The SAFV Centre to provide continuity of services during COVID-19. * drafting numerous successful funding submissions to support the growth of services across The SAFV Centre.

Key projects included:* Developing organisational submissions to the Victorian Royal Commission into Family Violence (2016) for community service and government organisations.* Drafting a range of policy and funding submissions for community service organisations.* Developing a Practice Framework for Client Facing Services for specialist sexual assault and family violence organisation.* Drafting a Family Violence Leave workplace policy.* Undertaking an evaluation of a Family Violence Therapeutic Group program.* Conducting research on CCTV policies and programs to inform the development of a local government's CCTV policy.* Qualitative and quantitative data analysis for an evaluation of an Incident Management Team Training program.

Strategic Initiatives Branch / Human Capital And Social Policy Branch

The Department of Premier and Cabinet (DPC) leads the Victorian public service, advising government on emerging policy issues and reviewing the impact of government decisions. My experience with DPC included:* Providing advice to the Premier of Victoria about human service and education policies, including child protection, the Royal Commission into Institutional Child Sexual Abuse and school funding reforms.* Managing the development of models to improve client/business transactions with government.* Conducting qualitative research for the 21st Century Public Servant Discussion Paper.

The Honorary Justice Office (HJO) is responsible for appointing and managing honorary justice volunteers, a collective group consisting of Justices of the Peace (JPs) and bail justices. The HJO is located within the Department of Justice.Managing the reform project for the HJO, I led a small team who:* Facilitated a state-wide consultation process, including development of a consultation paper* Developed a position paper for the Attorney-General, outlining recommendations for reforming the HJO* Supported the development and implementation of new policies, processes, and systems to improve the operations of the HJO* Developed a funding business case for volunteers involved in the criminal justice system* Contributed to the Bail Act Reform Project.
