I worked with adults with autism in home and community providing one-to-one instruction following ABA and other evidence-based therapies. I worked with the family to provide support beyond what is written in the treatment plan based on their values and needs for their child by meeting with the family briefly before and after every session.Within this job I updated the student's communication software, recreated the data collection within the home which allows for better communication among team members and reorganized the home session binder to better reflect goals and highlight targets.

In charge of the day to day functioning of a classroom with 5 students with autism ages 18-21 including scheduling, planning, collaborating, monitoring student progress, supervising 5 staff members and teaching daily groups. I ran team meetings and problem solved programs not making sufficient progress. I worked with head teachers on progress reports, documentation reviews, parent collaboration, professional development evaluations and training new staff. I completed a 4 day ABA training and was under supervision under a board certified behavioral analyst.Followed ABA guidelines including: errorless teaching, discrete trials, prompting sequences, data collection and graphing. I implemented and modified skill acquisitions and behavior plan programs. I was a job coach for students 14-21 at various job sites, in school jobs and community participation. I was a member of the speech language team which facilitated training, audit speech goals from the individual education plan and programmed assistive technology.

Provided small group instruction to develop communication, social and independent living skills in children with autism between the ages of 9 and 18 years old. I followed treatment plans, lesson plans and behavior plans as well as collected data for each student in a 3 to 1 ratio. I worked in home with a 14 year old boy and worked on treatment goals determined by his family trainer. I aided in problem solving non-progressing programs and attended team meetings to evaluate overall progress of our interventions.
