Working with private and public sector clients to address serious innovation challenges. In my current full time role I focus on developing innovation capabilities, leveraging knowledge from design and social research, across a wide variety of business sectors. This includes a ton of workshop design, process iteration and curating a body of knowledge that orgs can lean on after our scaffolding comes down. Freelance and pro bono work includes public sector design projects that deepen bottom-up participatory process, mentorship roles with organizations diversifying the on-ramps to creative and technology careers, and innovation guidance for social enterprises, benefit corporations and nonprofits. Here you'll find posts about what I'm reading, who I admire, and opportunities in my network. Here you won’t find my inexhaustible enthusiasm, relentless curiosity, unexpected optimism, or inexplicable ability to stay cool in a crisis. For that you’ll have to meet me in person.:: design knowledge & process:: systems, scalar & complexity thinking:: ontological translation & humility as an alternative to empathy in human centered design:: qualitative research methods:: participatory methods
