If you don't know the difference between a ''skein of yarn'' and a ''cake of yarn'', that is ok, we can still be friends!Crafting for me has always been a passion of mine because it has allowed me to express my creativity while connecting with some amazing people. In 2011, I started my DIY blog (Running with a Glue Gun) to share my own projects and to meet those who also loved crafting. At that time, I never expected to do anything more than write about why Hot Glue Gun Helpers were the best thing since sliced bread! However, through blogging, I found freelance writing. As a freelance content writer, I spent over 4 years writing for online businesses in the arts and crafts industry. During that time, I was able to collaborate with several companies. A few of those companies being Xyron, Darby Smart, Treat by Shutterfly, and Blitsy. Depending on the collaboration, my job usually involved writing step by step tutorial posts, creating/stylizing posts, and responding to comments on social media (to ensure reader interaction). I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor's of science degree in Business Administration. I chose to pursue business administration because I liked the idea of contributing, supporting, and making a difference within a company. Also, since I am self-motivated and like working as part of a team, business administration seem like the perfect fit. In April of 2018, I started my own business called The Crafty VA. The Crafty VA stands for The Crafty Virtual Assistant. We are a business that is focused on providing virtual assistant services to DIY bloggers and creative entrepreneurs.
