I work in the clinical trials team within our hospital pharmacy department. My main duties are to set up and maintain clinical trial pharmacy files and IMP management, which includes attending SIVs/feasibility meetings, creating study-specific documentation, document version control, risk assessments, monitoring visits, stock rotation/expiry management, scheduling patient visits, temperature monitoring, interpreting and simplifying complex information, dispensing and checking trial prescriptions and processing patient returns. I have experience using various IWRS systems and liaising with all members of the research team. I also perform staff training and oversee the day to day running of the clinical trials office within the dispensary and answering queries.

My main duties were overseeing the day to day running of the dispensary, liaising with patients and GP practice staff, dispensing prescriptions, stock management, performing CD checks, staff training, HR meetings (return to works, capability meetings), actioning recalls, rota planning and completing pharmacy services and month-end processes. I completed my BTEC/NVQ Level 3 during my time here, and left to develop my career and find an area I want to specialise in.
