Responsible for coordinating The SafeBar Alliance, chairing The LiveWell Sexual Violence Prevention Workgroup, and managing social media profiles. Provided community-level education on a range of topics, including consent, bystander intervention, neurobiology of trauma, and trauma-informed care.

In this position I built capacity for community level violence prevention programs, including Green Dot and SAFEbar. I worked with the Director of Education to organize MOCSA's 2018 Gender Equity Summit, bringing in national and community speakers on improving gender equity. I also worked closely with the Director of Grant Development on several grant projects, helping secure funding to expand the education program. During this time I completed a ten week course on resource development and grant writing to further develop these skills.

Hosted weekly rotation shows, hosted a weekly local music block, hosted special programs including Hickory Wind - country, folk, and Americana, Punk Rock Steady, and developed and hosted "Deutsches Radio" - a weekly hour long exploration of German music as a part of International Night.

In this position, I interviewed and reported on events in the Lawrence community and created online content for kjhk.org. I developed skills in using TASCAM recording devices and DSLR cameras to obtain coverage for Ad Astra, a weekly radio program in the style of NPR’s All Things Considered.
