Being the manager in charge on a number of occasions, I carefully negotiated competing priorities, ensured excellent customer service while proactively driving sales and successfully leading a team.Responsible for the Stratford stores online marketing I set up and managed the store’s own Instagram effectively ensuring online opportunities are fully utilised. The @joulesofstratforduponavon Instagram was given huge praise internally and the content was used as a benchmark for all other store accounts around the UK!

Shortly after accepting the role at Heythrop Park Resort I became aware that the estate had been sold and my role would cease within 2019. I did not want to let the venue down so joined them in January nevertheless.While at Heythrop I successfully managed multiple competing priorities while reassured clients following the hotel’s sale in late December 2018.

Overseeing all aspects of the business, I consistently delivered an event's entire life-cycle to an exceptionally high standard.Achieved over 65% of venue sales as well as planning and successfully executing the 2018 Autumn wedding fair which saw record attendance!Created an effective marketing strategy, significantly increasing the venues social media following and engagement.Managed the planning, preparation, delivery, billing and post event evaluation of over 100 individual events ranging from bespoke weddings to corporate events and high-end private parties.

I frequently managed events for over 500 international delegates. I built event websites, dealt with suppliers, ordered resources, organised logistics, printed materials, controlled general delegate management and supervised the on site welcome desks being their information point. Working on multinational events I liaised with translators and accommodated for all dietary and religious needs. Pre and post event, I produced extensive, multi-facetted financial breakdowns for participants and country groups, which often totalled tens of thousands of pounds.

My main focus for this International Festival was producing the 16 page 2015 Programme, as well as liaising with local businesses to design a Shop Window Trail that encouraged visitors into local businesses. Selling advertising, attending tourism and media forums, dealing with the PR campaign in addition to gaining company sponsorship all featured heavily. Furthermore, commercial awareness, confidence, organisation and communication were paramount in this role. Using my initiative, I suggested a temporary public art exhibition raising awareness and funds similar to other projects taking place around the UK and the World (e.g. The Gromit Unleashed Trail in Bristol). The organisation are in ongoing consultation, looking to bring this idea to reality.
