While taking summer courses at Stone Lab, I also worked as a biological field station assistant at Lake Erie's Aquatic Visitor Center operated by The Ohio State University's Ohio Sea Grant, in partnership with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. My associates and I guides group and individual tours of the historic fish hatchery while educating the community about the concerns of climate change, invasive species, harmful algal blooms, pollution, overexploitation, fish farming, and sustainability.

Columbus Public School students collected DNA from a crime scene and ran a electrophoresis gel to determine the culprit. Also spoke to high school students about the importance of higher education, the opportunities associated with a college degree, and the various career paths available within each field of study.
