The topic of the thesis was "Yield Improvement of an Electronic Device". I researched especially sensor packaging technologies, and deepened my theoretical understanding of Statistical Process Control techniques. There was cost analysis involved as well, and root cause analysis of faulty products of each relevant testing phase of the production process.Several issues were found and root causes were identified, and after eliminating for example one of such, the yield of a certain testing phase was increased by 20%.

My work was on the manufacturing and production site, where assembly and constant strict quality control takes place. I gained some experience in product environment simulation and product testing. LEAN production became familiar to me as well as the continuous improvement of processes.
