• Provide leadership in the strategic development and implementation of the Academy’s programmatic operations.• Manage the Academy’s financial process by working closely with the Washington Nationals’ finance department to ensure oversight of the annual budgeting process and that the needs of the development team are met. • Oversee all administrative and maintenance functions of Academy buildings and grounds including management of staff, ensuring smooth daily operations and opportunities for growth.• Manage and negotiate strategic relationships, expectations, and contracts with vendors, contractors, and community partners (e.g. local universities, community-based organizations, and local and international government entities).• Ensure the Academy’s practices, contracts, and policies are in compliance with applicable federal/local laws and regulations.• Identify and implement operational best practices based on like organizations and in consultation with outside experts.• Link operations to resource development opportunities, including managing direct sponsor and partner relationships.• Recruit, onboard, and train new staff hires.• Liaising with other Washington Nationals front office departments (e.g. human resources, legal, finance, and information technology) to ensure smooth communication and strategy implementation between the Academy and the team on key issues.
