At Henry Ford, I established a student-centered classroom providing students with a choice of how they demonstrate mastery which also allowed them to move at their own pace. I incorporated project-based learning into the curriculum making topics relatable and engaging to students. Restorative Practices supported and empowered students while creating a safe collaborative learning environment. Increased parent involvement and awareness of student performance by creating an open dialogue via phone calls and parent meetings which significantly impacted student success. I developed and ran an after school Title I Tutoring program to provide additional support to students
