The Baltic Triangle Area CIC is a voluntary run organisation created in order to support residents, businesses and stakeholders within the area. The CIC’s ambition is to promote, nurture and develop the area as a creative, industrious and pioneering corner of Liverpool that is a desired destination to work, play and live. As a Non-Executive Director I'm responsible for the Retail portfolio whilst also providing additional advisory support.

Specifically for the Digital, Creative and Tech sector, through insight, support and clarity, Form supports leaders to develop high-functioning teams and build their business. My role was the Project Lead for Gather, my responsibilities included marketing, event management, community development, programme development and management and finances.

I design in a variety of styles for wallpaper, murals and vinyl flooring for international markets. My designs have been featured in Elle Decoration, Living Etc, Stylist Magazine and a variety of online blogs. Products have been installed in The Guinness Storehouse, as well as Google and Ikea head Offices.

I have volunteered to be a mentor on the girl’s network program. The Girl’s Network’s mission is to inspire and empower girls from the least advantaged communities by connecting them with a mentor and a network of professional female role models.Over 10 months I will be working with my mentee to help her decide on career choices, build confidence and offer any advice.

Researching stationery, trends and fashion as well as products suited for Eurowrap wholesale range. Clients include Next, Matalan, Primark, Asda, Morrisons, John Lewis, WHS and more.Creating new concepts, designing and artworking for a variety of products ranging from gift bags to party accessories and packaging for Eurowrap and all European & UK bespoke customers. Using traditional illustration and CAD.Assisting in the running and maintenance of the Canon & Roland printers. Reviewing existing design ideas & concepts, revising and modifying them to meet the clients requirements. Production of mock-ups for presentations including hot stamp foiling, flitter and glitter gem finishes.

Researching current trends in fashion, illustration and textiles. Creating mood boards to communicate my findings to the directors, developing illustrations for new products by hand and with illustrator and photoshop. Working with the directors to develop the product, taking the artwork from sampling to final stages, production of the glassware products, general studio duties.

During my time at Utility I have gained experience on the shop floor, selling and gaining research from customers. I regularly visual merchandise the shop floor and create window displays. I have also attended Trade Shows such as Top Drawer and Home, inputting my opinion to the buyer.

I undertook a one month placement with Becky Broome creating a new glassware range consisting of christmas decorations, votives, mirror plates and vases. I helped from the initial design stages to product development which we then took to Harrogate Home and Gift trade show. I also helped with packaging design, trade show prep including a hand drawn chalk board to display the christmas decorations and other general studio roles.

I worked on a live brief with the kitchen brand Typhoon, creating surface pattern for a kitchenware tin range. I was then invited to do a 2 week placement at the head office working on different illustration and surface pattern projects for homewares, such as New York, London and Paris themed tea for one set, mug designs and a new indian range. The placement was a great introduction to creating product and taught me how to work independently as it was mainly self directed.

Supporting the manager with the every day running of the store including admin and excellent customer service. Gaining industry knowledge of Australian greetings, stationery and gift competitors. Constantly merchandising the store and window displays so the store looked visually appealing.

After a placement with Peppered Sprout creating character designs for upcoming wild in art projects, I was invited back to work on the newest project Newport Super Dragons. Creating character designs, icons and patterns for the website.
