I performed a variety of tasks as part of a project to migrate archival data and cataloging work flow to a new archiving platform, Collective Access. My responsibilities included modifying the thesaurus, verifying metadata integrity, and strategizing solutions for addressing unique user needs within the limitations of the software.I also assisted NPR librarians performing deadline reference for NPR journalists and producers and mapped BISAC subject terms to NPR Books genre categories. In my off time, Icoordinated social media activities for the intern-produced media program, Intern Edition.

I worked on a project to digitized 2300 jazz LP albums and used Audacity to splice and edit the digitized audio. I created spreadsheets listing holdings and wrote how-to’s for the continuation of the project. I worked independently on many of my projects, learning as I went. This was an invaluable experience as in preparation for graduate school.
