I joined AHR in 2001 and have since gained experience across a broad range of projects, with clients including social housing providers, universities and colleges, schools and academies, and local authorities. My work includes refurbishment of existing buildings and new build projects, with involvement from inception to completion. As a Director, I oversee a team that has developed a reputation for quality design, managing the design team and liaising directly with clients and statutory authorities. I am proud to be a mentor to others, particularly those starting out in their career, as I'm passionate about sharing my knowledge to support their growth and development. For every new project, my ethos remains the same: to make a difference. My biggest professional achievements are the ones where I can see first-hand how my designs have made a difference to peoples’ lives, whether it be a small refurbishment or a large-scale new build project. Providing the facilities for people to live, learn and thrive is at the core of everything I do. I'm also interested in historic buildings and how they can be preserved and adapted to ensure their survival. Creativity feeds into all of my designs, and as a silversmith in my spare time, I am able to apply a detail-oriented and meticulous approach to both my work and personal endeavours.Completing my architectural training in Germany in 1998, my qualifications include a degree in Architecture from the University of Kassel, and a master’s degree in Architectural Studies from the University of Sheffield.
