As a Complex Manager I am responsible for the day-to-day operations of the store delivering a compelling customer experience. Working closely with my direct reports I look for opportunities to coach and develop them to succeed, while overseeing the development of the wider team with a clear focus on growing the capability of all team members in the store.This role involves strategy and process development to ensure continuous improvement along with preparing budgets and maximizing sales and profit through managing inventory, visual merchandising and marketing. I am passionate about the community that I work in, and this role allows me to engage with local grass roots community groups and look for opportunities to connect and support.

As the Community Manager I was responsible for the development and execution of the national community strategy for Bunnings. I would collaborate with external stakeholders in the community, not for profit sector, identifying mutually beneficial programs and projects to achieve strong commercial outcomes, that aligned with Bunnings brand values. Working within the Bunnings Cooperate Affairs team in the Support Office, I would collaborate with other departments such as marketing, merchandising, PR and comms teams to deliver on the community strategy. Some of the campaigns that I delivered across the Bunnings store network included Fight MND, Share the Dignity, Dry July and Starlight Foundation - Tour de Kids.As part of this role, I was also responsible for directing and supporting the broader operational team on all community related issues, this included disaster response, covid impacts and liaising with key emergency services and not-for-profits to provide support through this challenging events.

Leading the store operations, I would be responsible for maximising sales and profit through managing inventory, visual merchandising, and marketing. I was accountable for the implementation of the store policies and procedures across the store, this included safety, administration, service and inventory and everything that was aligned to store compliance. I would ensure that best practice is implemented and maintained while coaching and empowering my team to drive the right service behaviors to deliver best service to customers.
