Aldrig har der været skrevet så meget tekst i reklamebranchen. Der skrives til de traditionelle platforme som print, TV og radio, og til de nye digitale medier som Facebook, Instagram og blogs. Dertil kommer de strategiske tekster som strategiskriv, præsentationer, konceptskriv og manifester. Men der har indtil nu ikke eksisteret en uddannelse, der dyrker netop disse områder. Derfor har vi skabt Tekstlinjen, som er opstået med afsæt i et behov udtrykt af bureaubranchen - og derfor har Clara Prior-Knock og jeg som de to fagansvarlige - såvel som alle undervisere på Tekstlinjen - selv dybe rødder i branchen.

At UncleGrey, I worked as a Senior Creative, both from a communicative, conceptual standpoint dealing with advertising in all sorts of media - and with nitty gritty, pixel nudging, web design, UX, wire framing and art direction. And words, yes, a I wrote a lot of words too.My clients included amongst others ONLY Jeans, the furniture company Bolia.com and The Danish Road Safety Council. In this position, I’ve won more than 20 national and international awards and recognitions, including three Cannes Lions, a Yellow D&AD Pencil and four Eurobest Awards.

New York, New York

As a part of my Hyper Island program, a 3-month work placement period is required in the end of the education. As an Interactive Art Director at TBWA in New York, I spent a lot of time with their storytelling platform projeqt.com, working on new features as well as general UI, UX and design. On top of that, I was involved in conceptual development from a advertising standpoint on both smaller projects and global pitches. I was also involved in developing new business ideas for the in-house product incubator, Pilot.is. During this period, I worked for the Global Executive Digital Creative Director, David Lee, who chose to project employ me afterwards.

Sweden

Wanting to sharpen my digital expertise, I chose to pack my bags and move to Stockholm. Createdin partnership with industry professionals, this program covered the entire digital production spectrum, from strategy and branding to execution, and I found it immensely inspiring to be a part of a very diverse group of people from all over the globe.About the program - from hyperisland.se:Led by industry professionals from across the globe, Interactive Art Director is an “action learning” (learning-by-doing and learning-by-reflection) program, built around actual projects:- Group dynamics and self-managing leadership- User experience/interaction design- Brand, idea and concept development- Design management and strategy- Design for future platforms and advanced interface design

While working at Grey Copenhagen, I dealt with advertising in many different forms. My main clients were the Nordic Diet Coke account, The Danish Refugee Council and the painkiller Ipren.

In order to afford my education, I spent two years working as a substitute teacher, primarily functioning in Danish, Math, History, Science and Art classes for the smaller kids. I had a lot of different roles, classes and pupils and it was two hectic, demanding years, but I still remember most of my students - they were absolutely wonderful. I enjoyed how every day was a new day, dealing me different, communicative challenges that I had to solve - a lot like advertising, in fact.
