Hydrogeology and Water Resources • Experience in water science and groundwater assessment and evaluation. Her hydrogeological expertise includes: - hydrogeological assessment and conceptualisation - local, regional and catchment-scale hydrogeological asessesments; - source reviews, various groundwater quality SPZ/ SgZ projects, and contamination projects; - water resources and abstraction impact assessment; - environmental destination catchment reviews; - environmental impact assessment; and - Aquifer Storage Recharge (ASR).Katy's role includes project management, technical analysis and reporting.

As part of the Natural Environment Research Councils (NERC) Changing Water Cycle project to assess the impact of climatic change on the UK’s water resources, Katy completed her Masters dissertation project with the British Geological Survey (BGS) which aimed to gain a more comprehensive understanding of both the Inferior and Great Oolite aquifers of the Cotswold region. Her work included a refined water balance of the area, and assessed and developed neural network modelling procedures to simulate of baseflow components in the Upper Thames sub-catchments, with particular emphasis on low flows events.
