I was hired into the TALX Corp. as an Administrative Assistant with the possibility of position transfer based on my skills. I served as the Assistant to the Vice President of Marketing before being transferred to the Creative Services Dept. as a Graphic Artist.My Administrative Assistant duties included:- Printing Sales Collateral- Managing / Creating SharePoint Team sites (This included creating imagery for the site as well)- Creation of PowerPoint Presentations for Sales Team- Assisting Sales representatives by performing market research, creating Sales charts and graphs, proof-reading sales documents, designing sales documents and helping sales adhere to company branding standards by reviewing PowerPoint presentations and other Sales presentation materials.

I wore many hats as an employee of Today's Advantage, a local advertising news paper. I was a Graphic Designer in charge of creating ads and laying out the paper for print. I was a receptionist that handled and directed all incoming phone calls and e-mails. And I was also in charge of the classified ad placements and payments.Being a newspaper employee, I was expected to adhere to short deadlines and maintain absolute accuracy in all ads, large and small. This environment was both challenging and rewarding because results were submitted quickly and then the next day were realized quickly. It takes about 8 hours to set the paper on a Friday night and then you would receive it on Saturday morning to admire your handy work.Responsibilities:- Created newspaper advertisements in a timely manner based on requirements given by the sales representative.- Maintained a database of all advertisements created for quick retrieval and implementation into template layout.- Organized communication system with sales representatives to ensure all weekly ads were accounted for.- Used Quark Xpress to create newspaper pages and layouts- Monitored and directed all incoming phone calls, mail and e-mails- Collected all payments for Classified ads - Set and maintained classified ads in newspaper layout.- Assisted sales by designing and creating sales collateral
