Responsible for retention of/access to town records and information. Work closely with the Director of Marketing and Public Relations Specialist to communicate with current passengers and promote services to prospective passengers.-Responsible for revisions to schedule brochures (English and Spanish) for 10 bus routes for semi-annual Service Change – includes revisions to maps, timetables and text.-Create various on-board and bus stop notices for holidays, service disruptions, events and promotions.-Manage, maintain and update customer communications using agency website, direct email/text messaging system and agency Facebook page. Created and currently maintain agency Facebook page.-Collaborate with contractor for redesign, editing and printing of several printed materials, including a New Rider Kit, agency brochure and OmniMatch ridesharing program brochure.-Deliver community presentations to students, senior citizens and individuals with special needs. Promote public transportation services at community events.-Assist with planning and executing agency events, such as PRTC’s month-long 25th and 30th Anniversary Celebrations (included contests for passengers, food drive, staff celebration and large stakeholder event) and kick-off events for new bus routes.

Performed marketing and communications duties while the Public Information Specialist was on leave.-Maintained agency website, including posting and revision of articles and public communications.-Created and printed monthly employee newsletters; drafted quarterly public newsletter.-Wrote and distributed press releases.-Photographed agency events.

Worked as general assignment reporter for a local six-days-a-week newspaper.-Reported on education, county government, health, features and other topics integral to the community.-Edited local news and editorial pages daily, ensuring proper AP Style, grammar, spelling and content.-Took photographs to accompany stories; read news briefs on the local radio station.
