Responsible for a team of eight working on a council-wide behaviour change campaign called ‘Do the right thing’ including recycling, anti-social behaviour, citizen responsibility and channel shift to digital. Led on strategic internal communications, Chief Executive messaging, culture change and budget and finance messaging. Other external projects: strategic communications planning and delivery for regeneration projects, ‘Our financial challenge’ and London wide HIV testing. Managed the production team who were responsible for publications, including ‘Lambeth talk’, a monthly magazine distributed to 140,000 households.Managed internal design team and was brand guardian for the organisation.Full budget responsibility for £200,000+ and regularly deputised for the Director of Communications.Delivered Olympic and Paralympic 2012 communications including hosting torch relays.Led on crisis communications following the 2011 disorder which had a focus on Brixton.Overall satisfaction (closely linked to informed levels) with how the council runs things has increased from 64% to 69% over the last year, based on the 2015 resident survey.

Reported to the Chief Executive and was responsible for a multi-skilled team of five. Wrote an overall communications, media and engagement strategy, commissioned a new website, re-launched the residents magazinePromoted the residents survey and designed and delivered a communications plan for the £500 million housing stock improvement programme.Scoped and procured a new transactional website, implemented an internal communications review.Produced new area newsletters - ‘Living Local’. During this period the survey of tenants and residents highlighted increased informed and satisfaction levels.
