As a dedicated environmental professional, I bring over a decade of consulting experience in environmental compliance and project management. Specializing in stormwater pollution prevention, I lead projects and teams in conducting comprehensive environmental compliance monitoring, aquatic resources surveys, aquatic resources report preparation, stormwater pollution prevention plan preparation, and diverse environmental compliance projects and reporting.My career began in California, where for 8.5 years, I honed my expertise in stormwater permitting compliance. My role involved intricate tasks such as SWPPP document preparation, compliance inspections, stormwater sampling, and a variety of reports for stormwater permit compliance. Joining SWCA marked a significant broadening of my professional scope. As a Compliance Project Manager and now a Lead Water Resources Scientist, I've expanded my skill set to include management and leadership on projects related to other Clean Water Act permits, environmental compliance, due diligence, and more. I have conducted compliance inspections, managed projects, and prepared various stormwater-related documents under California's Construction and Industrial General Permits and EPA's Construction General Permit in New Mexico. Additionally, I've supported clients in other states and tribal lands, navigating NPDES stormwater permits and ensuring compliance with EPA regulations, including preparation of SWPPPs for construction projects within Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico (administered by EPA), Southern Ute Indian Tribe, Texas, Utah, and Washington. I've also led efforts in permitting and compliance with CWA Sections 401 and 404 in New Mexico, collaborating with agencies such as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the New Mexico Environment Department Surface Water Quality Bureau.As a project manager and aquatic resources lead, I've overseen aquatic resources inventories to support project planning, design, and permitting for impacts to water resources. My expertise extends to navigating federal and state regulations, including the Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, and National Environmental Policy Act.I am certified as a CPESC, CPSWQ, CESSWI, QSD, QSP, and QISP, which underscores my deep commitment to excellence in stormwater pollution prevention, erosion and sediment control, and environmental project management.Additionally, I am SWCA's Albuquerque office Green Team Network representative, serving as a champion of sustainability for our office.
