Providing marketing and communications advice to The Water Well Project, a volunteer-run organisation that sees doctors and other healthcare professionals delivering health information sessions to refugee, asylum seeker and migrant communities in Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania.

In this role I managed a small multi-disciplinary team tasked with overseeing the design and delivery of Australia Day Victoria and departmental events and awards work programs, including:- State-wide Australia Day celebrations- Australian of the Year Awards (Victoria) and alumni programs- Australian Honours (incl. gender equity in Australian Honours project)- Australian Bravery Awards (Victoria)- Public Service Medal (Victoria), and- Australia Day Ambassador program.Key achievements- Designing a new strategic framework that aligns and leverages various assets across discrete events and awards programs to deliver greater value to sponsors, stakeholders and citizens.- Overseeing the design and implementation of a stakeholder engagement strategy to inform the content strategy and design of a new Australia Day Victoria website.- Achieving administrative efficiencies through business process improvements including the implementation of new project management and contact record management systems.

In this role, I advised on the year-round planning and implementation of the Australia Day Victoria and awards work program, delivered by the Department of Premier and Cabinet (VIC).

In this short-term contract I provided strategic marketing and communications advice that enhanced the delivery of Australia Day Victoria’s program of Australia Day events in 2017.Key achievements- Designed and implemented a state-wide marketing and advertising campaign for Australia Day 2017.- Implemented an end-to-end digital invitation, booking and payments system forthe Official Australia Day Luncheon 2017.

I provided strategic digital marketing and communications advice on how to effectively use digital channels to advance the interests of the corporation and meet the information needs of our customers and stakeholders, including South Australian employers, workers and health providers.Key achievements- Product lead for the redevelopment and rebranding of ReturnToWorkSA’s digital presence following legislative reform.- Designed and implemented a change communications strategy to support the corporation-wide ICT transformation project.

I managed the content and development of the Council’s websites, intranet and social media channels to meet the business and information needs of internal and external customers.Key achievements- Project managed the redevelopment of the corporate intranet.- Designed and developed an interactive online consultation website to support the development of the Arts and Cultural Development Strategy.

In this short-term contract I assisted in the coordination, development and publishing of online content designed to promote Australia’s international aid program.

I undertook policy, research and project management activities designed to advance the interests of the Australian mental health sector, and Australians with experience of mental illness, their carers and families.Key achievements- Project managed the development and implementation of the Mental Health Council of Australia corporate website and the Mental Health and Insurance Project website (co-branded with beyondblue).- Project managed the design and delivery of a social media research project to assess the support needs of young people who care for a parent or guardian with a mental illness.- Researched and published Mental Health, Discrimination and Insurance: A Survey of Consumer Experiences 2010: the first Australian report looking into the experiences of people living with mental illness in applying for or making claims against their insurance policies.
