About Katy Larson

I am an experienced senior energy scientist with over a decade of experience and a current focus on project management of large scale carbon sequestration projects. I specialize in operations of fields on injection-- CO2 into saline reservoirs and water/ steam flood as a secondary recovery mechanism. I have expertise in regulatory having participated on multiple Class II and VI UIC's. I also have executed several regulatory applications for CARB and the California Water Board. I have been involved as a technical lead and expert in a large impact, capital execution oil and gas projects with over $250 MM budgets. I have participated as a technical lead in valuable internal development plans, Joint Venture projects, divestment of assets, and assessment of innovative technologies. I am an essential member of the post-project review process, providing expertise on the technical evaluation and financial impact of my recommendations. I am a life-long learner, always reading or researching a new idea. When I am not innovating and being challenged at the work place you can find me enjoying the beautiful scenery that California has to offer with my family including my husband, my golden retriever, and my mini-innovator toddler.
