Worked in and around Summit County to develop comprehensive address lists for the 2010 census. This included, using hand held computers and GPS mapping devices for related data collection.

Led groups of 10-14 children, grades K-8 through hands-on lessons in basic ecology by using the outdoors as a classroom, where learning occurs through exploration, scientific investigation, discovery and sensory awareness. Focusing on sustainable living, resource conservation, human impact and our relationship with the world we live in.

As a water and sanitation volunteer in Nepal worked directly with the Kavrepalanchok district level water and sanitation office. There I took an active leadership role in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of a variety of sanitation and community-building related activates, including both urban and rural based projects. These projects included, but were not exclusive to, school sanitation and health trainings, community based project initiatives, school latrine construction projects and an intensive project management, monitoring and evaluating training for community volunteers and office project managers. Prior to being posted in Dhulikhel I participated in an intensive three month training program. Training areas include; language, cultural adaptation, community mobilization, and technical skills. My Sservice cut short due to civil war and evacuation of Peace Corps Nepal.

As a Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agent in Cote d’Ivoire I lived and worked in the small rural village of Kongasso in the interior of Cote d’Ivoire. While there I facilitated project planning, implementation and management on a grass roots level. I played a key role in the development of a variety of community-based programs, ranging form health education campaigns to small business development. Prior to being posted in Kongasso I participated in an intensive three month training program. Training areas included; language, cultural adaptation, community mobilization, and technical skills. My service cut short due to civil war and evacuation of Peace Corps Cote d’Ivoire.
