Launching Aflora Grain Free from our Cornwall based pet shop we released a range of affordable, wholesome grain free dog food to compete with high street competitors on cost whilst providing better value for money based on the quality of ingredients and high meat content. We wanted to answer the needs of our day care customers that wanted a better option without breaking the bank.

Named as Independent Pet Shop of the Year 2021, our natural pet shop focuses on brands that have an ethical footprint and provide natural solutions to four legged companions needs. From the shop we have grown our own range of products under the Natural Cornish Pet brand including peanut butter made in an eco factory using wind and solar energy to fish treats produced in Cornwall. Falmouth

Fixed term contract to lead the development, management and implementation of a range of on and off campus events to meet University student application targets. The role involved liaison with senior level academic and professional services in the delivery of such events and to serve as an important ambassador for the University.

Whilst working within the University I supported the implementation and the delivery of marketing and PR initiatives across the University supporting events and marketing campaigns. Part of this was to deal with the delivery of the print distribution on time and within agreed budgets. Work alongside the web content team on the updating content on the Falmouth University website and related social media platforms. Gaining vast experience assisting in the production and creation of printed literature, press releases and web copy. Overall my roll was to provide professional support to the marketing department in day-to-day operational functions to do with events, advertising, social media campaigns and marketing strategies.

This involved working on the committee as art director, helping with marketing, newsletters, exhibition themes and organising shows.

DeMontfort Fine Art is the UK's most successful publishing company. I had a great experience working with them for a year, being part of their sales and marketing team putting on private views for artists such as Fabian Perez, Doug Hyde and Henderson Cisz. Working to strict publishing deadlines under pressure with a competitive sales team.

Truro Arts Supplies has been a well established business for over 25 years, catering extensively for artists needs. The shop runs a delivery and online service, and has a Picture Framing department. I worked between both the shop and the framing department, remaining flexible co-ordinating the various activities.Whilst working within Truro Arts Supplies, my duties in the shop were varied, As one of the buyers I was in charge of ordering in stock, keeping stock levels for the internet orders constant, seeing company representatives and negotiating deals and promotions, serving customers and giving guidance on a wide variety of products and materials and their uses.

I provided a friendly informative service, encouraging potential sales. Another important role of my job was keeping the gallery looking good, making sure that the pieces of work were displayed correctly to present them at their best. This also encouraged interest from our customers. I dealt with orders, and artist commissions, working between the customers and artists.

A Padstow Art Gallery, selling paintings, photography and home wares, all by the artist Susie Ray. In this gallery there is an emphasis upon selling the name of the artist and explaining to customers about the ethics of the shop. All items are produced in Cornwall and sold exclusively.Part of my responsibilities were talking to customers, and giving informative advice about the photographs and wide range of archival and giclee prints that we had to offer, and the framing opportunities that we provided. I kept the shop well maintained in stock, frames and mounted prints.
