I was working as a dental assistant at Grove Dental Associates.My responsibilities were to greet patients, ensure that patients are comfortable in the dental chair, prepare patients and the work area for treatments and procedures, sterilize dental instruments, process x rays and complete lab tasks under the direction of the dentist, keep records of dental treatments, take patients' vitals, make models etc.I learned about various aspects of dentistry, ethical standards, patient management, cutting-edge technologies and legal regulations governing dental practice in the U.S. To immerse myself in the American dental field and gain valuable experience. That provided me with exposure to various specialties and cutting-edge technologies under the mentorship of Dr. Mary Ann Hollis and Dr. Catherine Murphy. I expanded my skills and knowledge in areas such as bone grafts, CBCT scans, and Invisalign while also assisting patients who faced language barriers, utilizing my proficiency in Gujarati and Hindi. Apart from this, I took anesthesia assistant training and worked closely under the guidance of renowned oral surgeon Dr. Abdulkader H. Ghadiali at Grove Dental Associates.
